AN OCEAN OF SOUND

Dear music lovers and travelers,

Sea & Music takes you for the first time on the MS DEUTSCHLAND on an exciting and relaxing trip with selected musicians from Vienna and Berlin, to the myths and mysteries of the British Isles. Travel from the Nordic pearl – Hamburg, to gorgeous flower gardens, enchanted castles, great cathedrals and lovingly restored mansions.

Come join us as the DEUTSCHLAND reaches the royal capital of England up the Thames. Tower Bridge, The Mall, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben will inspire you. Enjoy the cultural diversity, on the one hand in rural Britain, and on the other in cities such as London, Dublin and Edinburgh.

Ireland will charm you with old buildings, such as Trinity College or the sleeping beauty which is Malahide Castle. In Scotland, history comes alive at Holyroodhouse Palace, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile.

THE MS DEUTSCHLAND

Again and again the DEUTSCHLAND receives the highest awards such as Ship of the Year 2012 or the 6 Star Diamond Award. These special predicates are possible only if, in addition to luxury and perfection, the people always count also - the guests as well as the staff in front of and behind the scenes. The human scale, that the ship-owner and inventor of the DEUTSCHLAND, Peter Deilmann, took as a benchmark for the mere 500 capacity guest luxury ship is one of his secrets to success. Exclusivity, individuality and personal service can flourish only when instead of crowds, a society of like-minded people gives the ship life.

Restaurants & Bars True to the tradition of the legendary ocean liner, the culinary enjoyment on board the DEUTSCHLAND also counts as one the highlights of each day. Embark too on a culinary journey around the world. Allow haute cuisine as well as local delicacies to melt in your mouth, always accompanied by fine wines. In two of our three restaurants, you can dine in the presence of Gault Millau stars.

To friendship Is there anything better after an entertaining day full of new impressions and restorative relaxation than to round off the evening in newly acquired company? We welcome you in the cosy bar ZUM ALTEN FRITZ; in the LILI MARLEEN saloon located in the midships, you can give way to your urges on the dance floor and the bar manager is looking forward to mix you an exotic cocktail.

Wellness & Sport In the exclusive luxury of the Wellness Spa Deutschland our experienced staff will spoil you using every trick in the book. Loosen up in the indoor pool or indulge yourself in the copper tub like Cleopatra in milk and rose petals, relax with ayurvedic massages, treatments and fragrances. From gentle, gymnastic movement to regular training, at the sports centre on the DEUTSCHLAND, each activity is at the desired tempo. Adjacent to the fitness room with its modern equipment, crosstrainers and treadmills, you will also find the Finnish sauna with panoramic sea views and the Roman steam bath.

Technical & Safety The DEUTSCHLAND is a grand hotel at sea, on which our guests find quality and safety standards throughout the world. The technical specifications correspond to the most modern standards; it is regularly reviewed and updated.

THE ARTISTS

Chamber concerts require maximum accuracy, sensitivity and virtuosity”, the chairman of the Vienna Philharmonic, Clemens Hellsberg said recently in an interview.

Good chamber music is the foundation of any orchestra. For this reason, musicians of the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic are taking part in the trip with the MS DEUTSCHLAND around the UK.

In the “Kaisersaal”(Imperial Hall) of the MS DEUTSCHLAND, the Berliners Andreas Neufeld (violin), Christophe Horak (violin), Wilfried Strehle (viola), Christoph Igelbrink (cello), Wenzel Fuchs (clarinet), as well as the Viennese Johannes Tomböck (violin), Dominik Hellsberg (violin), Sebastian Führlinger (viola), Benedict Hellbserg (cello) will perform. Each chamber ensemble will perform twice. Also a one-time only fusion of the Viennese and Berliners into a unique ensemble which has not previously existed. Five chamber concerts of the highest level await you.

Also on board are the chamber singer Angelika Kirchschlager, pianist Stefan Vladar and the most famous Salzburg “Jedermann” Peter Simonischek with his wife, the actress Brigitte Karner.

Experience unique classical concerts, open rehearsals and charming lectures on board, as well as blooming gardens, enchanted castles, impressive cathedrals and countless historical attractions on land. We are very happy to take you on this magical route and with a unique entertainment experience, provide you with unforgettable moments.

The mystique of the British Isles ...

... one of a kind.

The magic comes from the wood elves,

water spirits and the perpetual green

is incomparable.

Whoever entrusts themselves to this

magic once will not forget the resulting

life long bond and will wear

the memory of the experience,

close to their hearts.
